Asha Miró and Anna Soler-Pont

Asha Miró, born in India, was adopted by a couple from Barcelona at the age of seven. Her first book was the bestseller Daughter of the Ganges. Formerly a music teacher, she now collaborates on several cultural television programs and actively supports adoption organizations throughout Spain.

Anna Soler-Pont, born in Barcelona, studied Arabic Language and Culture and is the founder of Pontas international  literary & film agency.  She has an adopted daughter from Ethiopia.

Asha and Anna’s live-changing experiences inspired them to write the novel Traces of Sandalwood. This novel was adapted into a feature film, released in Spain in 2014, and has been awarded several prizes, including the Audience Award at Montreal World Film Festival 2014.
