PLANET OF CLAY Named a Finalist for the National Book Award

World Editions is happy and proud to share that Planet of Clay has been named a Finalist for the National Book Award for Translated Literature (US), as announced via the New York Times on 5 October.

Planet of Clay is written by the award-winning Samar Yazbek and is translated from the Arabic by Leri Price, whose translation of Death Is Hard Work by Khaled Khalifa was a finalist for the same award in 2019. Price is the first two-time finalist in the Translated Literature category since its inception in 2018.
